Organize What’s Good For a Healthy Body And Brain
By Claire McFee
We all have many lessons to learn over our lifetime and being proactive about your Personal Development and your Personal Wellbeing is the key to making the most of what life has to offer to reach your full potential. Absolutely everything in our lives – be it personal, professional, home life or our physical, emotional and mental health & wellbeing are interrelated. As with anything in life – if you are clear on what you want and how you are going to get it, (by setting goals and equally being in tune with your body and mind) you will be much more likely to achieve what you want and enjoying the journey along the way. There are some effective ways to ‘get to the good bits’ that I would like to share with you that most of you haven’t heard of. Of course all of this requires a certain level of Organization. So if you want the knowledge I now have (and must say love having!) that you can easily have too – read on.
Believe it or not!
This may be hard for some of you to believe but trust me when I say, from what I have learned in the past few years, I now know exactly what, and even ‘who’ is good for me and you can too. So put any closed attitudes aside for a moment and open yourself up to the possibility that there is much more to learn about yourself and where we fit into this magical world of ours.
Age Old Traditions
Many things that are now being proven beyond a reasonable doubt have of course been known to Natural Medicine Professionals for centuries. Western Medicine modalities are looking more closely at what nature already provides us and at remedies that have been perfected over thousands of years, thereby reducing the need for synthetic medicines and drugs, through the use of preventative health measures.
The Proof is Mounting
For those of you that need ‘proof’, this is a good time for you to be alive. Why? Because in this highly Technological Age, there is now a myriad of equipment that can ascertain what’s going on in the body and brain, that was previously impossible to know or see. For example, many studies have been and are continuing to be done, whereby Health Professionals take ‘before and after’ MRI’S that show the physiological results of any physical or mental changes there might be having used Natural or Alternative Health Measures. New pathways in the brain have been shown to have been created – improving the wellbeing of patients in all manner of health areas; including the treatment of depression for example.
Listen to your body
Your body will tell you what you need to know. Many of us are out of touch with what our bodies are actually telling us. The sorts of things that could alert us to a potential problem if we were more aware include: irregular bowel movements, a cold that won’t go away, allergies, food intolerances, sleep disturbances, feeling overwhelmed and low libido. You could start a Mood /Health Journal which may highlight problem areas you previously were unaware of. Things seem so much clearer when written down in black and white – so organize yourself to do this.
It’s not rocket science
When changes such as the ones mentioned above occur in our bodies, we know something is amiss. We will often be able to even detect what the problem is ourselves (if minor) and rectify it without Medical intervention. We need to learn to be more observant of our body for this to occur7 it goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway…..if a problem persists seek advice from whatever source you trust is right for you.
Learned helplessness
Most of us are not taught to observe our bodies the way people did in the past. Trusting our instincts about what is best for us – physically and mentally has suffered a long hiatus. Getting in touch with our bodies and being proactive about our personal health is undergoing a steady and much needed revival. We will all be healthier and happier as a result.
Get rid of old Mindsets and be Proactive about your Health
Enough rot about Natural Medicine Practitioners being too ‘alternative’, Hippies or not being educated enough. From being slightly sceptical myself in the past, I thankfully had enough of an open mind to look into Natural Health Solutions – when Western Medicine did not give me the answers my family and I needed. I went searching to find out who could help us with our particular health concerns and upon referral from a close friend, found just the people we needed to find the answers. We have experienced first-hand nothing short of amazing results. Too many to just be the good old placebo effect!
Naturopaths and Kinesiology
From our experience and countless others I know, Naturopaths and Kinesiologists really know their stuff. As with any profession there are good practitioners and brilliant practitioners, so be discerning to find someone a good fit for you. It’s best to be referred to one from someone you trust, and preferably someone in whom you have seen an improvement in their health first-hand.
It’s way more simple than we make it
Without being able to go into too much detail – because everyone is so unique and therefore individual answers vary enormously – you really have to see and hear what your Kinesiologist or Naturopath can do for you personally. It’s really worthwhile making the effort to get your head around the Natural Medicine and then integrate these Natural Therapies into your life. My family and I are one hundred times healthier and happier since getting ‘in tune’ with ourselves on all levels with the help of our Natural Health Practitioners. Let me be clear, that doesn’t mean we are 100% healthy, 100% of the time. There are still a lot carcinogens; nasty chemicals, preservatives & pollution in our environment. These can be exacerbated by n your lifestyle; where you live; heredity and so on. But the issue is that you can monitor and influence your health way more than you thought possible. How much healthier and happier could you be in your life?
