5 Reasons to Clutterbust with a Partner
We are all guilty of coming up with a million and one excuses to put off clearing out the clutter in our lives. Most of us are more productive when we have a deadline to motivate us, and that’s why having someone else to help clutterbust your home is a good idea, because it’s harder to put it off when someone has made a commitment to help you. Here are some suggestions that may help.
1. Think of someone who needs to clear out some household clutter as much as you do, and ask them if they would like to clutterbust together.
2. Set a date for both of you to go to one another’s home before you make a start.
3. Pick someone whose opinion you value, as you will need to trust their opinion with regard to ‘to throw’ or ‘not to throw’. This definitely helps the necessary ‘ruthless’ factor necessary to do a proper job, scaling down, re-organizing and culling.
4. It doesn’t matter who the person is. It can be your mother, your sister, or a friend. What matters is how much more quickly you will get the job done.
5.Check in on one another’s progress every couple of months to make sure the clutter doesn’t regain a strong-hold.
