How Being Organized can Lead to more Fun in Your Life

by Claire McFee Author of Organize Your Life

Using Organization and Fun in the same sentence is not a common occurence, but I can assure you that they can absolutely go together harmoniously. Here’s some tips on how.

Effectiveness

If you utilize your time well – saving 10 minutes here and 20 minutes there through better Organization, you will notice that you get more done. New habits take approximately 21 days to turn into routines, so you will need to give yourself time to get used to them. None of us are perfect, nor should we want to be, so go easy on yourself.

The result of this?

We often need to justify to oursevles that we deserve time out. By getting more done in our days, this is the perfect way to tell ourselves that we can indulge in more spontaneous activities and even planned FUN – what a novel concept!

Too Organized Myth

There are some people out there that make fun of those who like to be organized, suggesting there isn’t room for spontaneity in their lives, but this doesn’t have to be the case. As always, life is about balance. I know which life I would rather lead. A relatively organized one with time for plenty of fun, knowing you are sorted on the home front, rather than having a chaotic house with no routine or sense of calm. What about you?

Clear the Mind

Being organized allows you to have the time to reflect more and think about what you really want from your life and for your family. What memories do you want to create for your shared future? Not having any or enough structure in your life can mean aimlessly going through life without thought to your goals and dreams. This is crucial to a grounded life that you have more control over and can actually enjoy and have FUN along the way.
