How does the Organizer work?

The Organizer is a downloadable file with over 300 user-friendly lists and templates, including an e-calendar and complete e-Address Book to help you organize all of the areas of your life over the long and short term. You can type all your information into your Organizer download file on your computer or if you prefer, you can print out your Organizer and fill it out by hand – the choice is yours. Easy either way.

Will I have to pay for any updates?

If there are any updates within 2 years of your purchase you can email us with the name you ordered under, the date and /or order number and we will give you the updated version for free.

Are there dates in the Organizer making it obsolete over time?

No, there are no specific dates in the Organizer so that you can keep using it without it being out of date and having to re-purchase another organizer every year.  The calendars are a separate file which you can update for free.

What do I do when my calendar runs out?

We offer free yearly Calendars worth $19. All you have to do is email us when you need a new one with your order name/date or invoice number and we will happily email it to you.

What type of people benefit from the Organizer?

We help all types of people: from those who are so disorganized they couldn’t find their head if it wasn’t screwed on – to those who are total list-lovers -and everyone else in between. No matter what your personality type we all need to keep on top of the same sort of home affairs and this is the most effective way to do just that.

What should I expect from using the Organizer?

You should expect to significantly cut down on the paperwork around your house. You will save more time – starting with small amounts and working up to bigger chunks of time. You will find paperwork quicker than in the past and you should also start to remember things that previously didn’t ‘come to mind’ when you needed it. You will be more productive and you will be able to spend more time doing what you want. Bliss!

How much time would I need to put in to using the Organizer?

It is completely up to you how much you want to spend using your Organizer. Some people use it daily, some weekly. It all depends on how busy you are, the stage of life you are at, and what you want to achieve from using the Organize Your Life system. Remember baby steps will get you there!!

The Organizer seems very comprehensive and has lots of content – will it all be relevant?

Some of the contents may not be relevant to you but the majority of it will. If you do not have children for example perhaps just purchase the other 3 sections. Otherwise just ignore the odd list that isn’t relevant. Remember it is a document to use over the long term.

Is it something the whole family can use?

Yes the eOrganizer can be used as a reference point and resource for the whole family. Others can quickly get into the habit of checking info when they need to find something and popping in their own info for future reference as well. (This is applicable if you use it on your PC or print out the pages and use them as hardcopy in a folder).

A message is coming up asking if I give permission for another program to access my computer. Is this safe?

Yes it is safe and you need to accept to be able to complete the process.

My Organizer is printing gibberish on some pages. How can I fix this?

This is an adobe issue so simply fully uninstall adobe acrobat and only then reinstall it to resolve this rare issue.

Do I need any special software?

You only need the latest version  of Adobe Reader  to use our Organizer, which is free and available at www.adobe.com (http://www NULL.adobe NULL.com). Make sure you have the latest version for best results. If you do not have version 9 of adobe or later then it is important not just to download the new software but to completely uninstall the version you have BEFORE reinstalling or you may encounter an error until you do.

How do I Unzip / Extract My Organizer?

The e-Organizer is ‘Zipped’ -  to make it quicker to download, which then have to be unzipped.  Most computers have an extraction/unzipping Function so usually the files open immediately. Usually all you need to do is right click on the Zipped Organizer File and click ‘Extract All.’

If you have an older computer you may need to download the FREE StuffIt Expander (http://my NULL.smithmicro NULL.com/mac/stuffit/expander NULL.html) (works for Macs & Windows)  WinZip (http://www NULL.winzip NULL.com/index NULL.htm) program or Easy Zip (http://www NULL.thefreesite NULL.com/easyzip111 NULL.htm) ( both for Windows users).  Some older computers don’t open Zipped files by double clicking on the file. If this is the case, then try opening the Unzip program first, (not the organizer file with the unzip icon showing). A new window should open up. Click on the ‘open’ file and a windows box should appear where you can choose the location that you originally saved the Organizer. Change the default location to this spot and the files should appear within the Box to be able to double click on, open and save from there.

What if I can’t open my file when it’s on my computer or it says it’s corrupted/damaged?

If you have downloaded your file and can’t open it make sure that you have

1. unzipped your file(s) and

2. that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader.

If your computer says the ‘file is corrupt/damaged’ and won’t allow you to download the file, this may be due to having an old version of Adobe Acrobat. It has to at least  be version 9 or above. To check which version you have go to their website. Completely www.adobe.com (http://www NULL.adobe NULL.com) An important point to note here is that you need to uninstall the version you have BEFORE reinstalling or you may encounter problems with the file.

Can I use it on a Mac Computer too?

Yes, you can – absolutely.

How will I get my Organizer?

The Organizer (and all of our products) are digital downloads and have been designed to download quickly on to your computer so that you can start using them immediately. Many customers still love good old paper and pen and choose to print out our organizers into their own folder.

Can I view my Organizer on my iPhone?

Yes you can view your lists, not type into the lists. Technology isn’t that good yet. Simply follow these three steps to get enable this function on your iPhone. Then you can even check your Shopping List at the supermarket . Don’t you just love technology!

Step1  – Set up ‘Online File Sharing DropBox is great for file sharing, as it offers 2GB free storage. You simply drop files into it which are then synced to their site that you can then access them from your phone. Download Dropbox here (http://www NULL.dropbox NULL.com/install).

Step 2 – Install a Good Reader like Goodreader (or similar) This is the application that enables you to view your documents – whatever you put in Dropbox. Dropbox has an iPhone App but it is quite slow. To download Goodreader onto your iPhone simply type goodreader into the search tool and a big green and white eye image comes up. It cost me $1.19AUS – pretty good value. 

Step 3 – Connect to Dropbox via Dropbox on your iPhone

1. Open Goodreader
2. You will see My Documents; ‘Web Downloads’ & Import Pictures
3. Select Web Downloads
4. Then Select ‘Connect to Servers’
5. It will say Local Servers and underneath that:- Create a ‘new’ connection
6. Scroll down and Select DropBox
7. Enter your Dropbox details as requested
8. Follow the prompts and you will be able to sync and view your Organizer PDF file/s on your iPhone – easy!
   

How long will the organizer take to download?

Once you have purchased the Organizer Download – it only takes a few minutes to download onto your computer. Remember to save it to an easily accessible location like your desktop.

How much space will the Organizers take up?

Each section of the Organizer is approx 1 megabyte each.
